Bio

I am a clinical psychologist who specializes in individual adult psychotherapy (i.e., talk therapy) .  I earned my doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Washington State University in 2010. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System. I have worked in various settings including mental health clinics, hospitals and college counseling centers.

As a scientist-practitioner, I utilize evidence based approaches that are tailored to the unique needs of my clients.  I view psychotherapy as both an art and a science, working collaborating with my clients to provide the best care available. I offer both brief solution focused therapy and long term therapy depending on the client’s presenting concerns and preferences. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, and have experience working with culturally diverse clients and conducting psychotherapy in Spanish. In addition to my clinical practice, I am adjunct Faculty at California State University, Monterey Bay.
